Community and Cultural Engagement in Cologne

For SATZGEWINN®, social responsibility means more than supporting existing initiatives. We want to contribute our own ideas, experience and communication skills wherever they can make a meaningful difference.

Our commitment is closely connected to Cologne – the city in which we live and work. We support educational and cultural projects and bring people together through language, creativity and personal engagement.

Tanzvergnügen – Celebrating for a Good Cause

We wanted our community engagement to be something special. Instead of simply joining an existing project, we decided to develop an idea of our own. This led to Tanzvergnügen: a charity event combining social responsibility with an enjoyable evening.

We did not want to invite friends, clients, colleagues and other guests to a conventional charity gala or golf tournament. Our aim was different: to do good while having a wonderful time together.

An Entertaining Evening in Cologne

Tanzvergnügen was held at Kunstbar in Cologne. Elfi Scho-Antwerpes assumed patronage of the event, while Angela Spizig, who was then Deputy Mayor of Cologne, welcomed the guests.

The comedy duo ONKeL fISCH provided entertainment with a stand-up performance. International bestselling author Frank Schätzing captivated the audience with a short reading.

The guests then danced, celebrated and took part in a raffle featuring unusual prizes. The evening brought together entertainment, personal encounters and support for a valuable local initiative.

Support from Well-Known Cologne Personalities

Several prominent figures from Cologne supported the event. Wolfgang Niedecken of BAP donated a signed autobiography, Frank Schätzing contributed a personally signed collection of books, and comedian Johann König provided a DVD with an autograph card.

Further donations were collected through the guests’ musical requests and voluntary contributions for the cloakroom.

Donations for LeseWelten

The proceeds went to LeseWelten, the reading initiative of the Kölner Freiwilligen Agentur. The project supports children from different educational backgrounds and encourages their interest in books and stories through regular reading sessions.

With the help of the donations raised at Tanzvergnügen, LeseWelten was able to establish a multilingual library for its reading activities.

SATZGEWINN® as a Cologne Cultural Partner

Engagement in Cologne is particularly important to us. SATZGEWINN® is not only based in the city; we also want to give something back to the people and organisations that shape its cultural life.

Kulturpaten Köln brings together professionals from the business and cultural sectors. Companies and their employees support artists and cultural organisations by sharing their professional knowledge and experience.

This may include expertise in organisation, business management, communication or online marketing. Cultural organisations benefit from professional support, while companies gain valuable insights into creative and community-based work.

Sharing Our Communication Expertise

SATZGEWINN® participated in one of these cultural partnerships. We shared our experience of social media and helped cultural professionals present their work more effectively online.

The aim was to improve their digital visibility and provide practical guidance that could also be used independently after the partnership had ended.

For this engagement, SATZGEWINN® was recognised as a Cologne Cultural Partner together with other participating companies.

The formal presentation at the Museum of East Asian Art in Cologne remains a very special memory for us.
